3 Key Points:
- Know specifically who you want to help, be consistent, and exceed what your customer expects.
- Don’t undervalue your experience and work hard to develop your abilities.
- We learn how to use Facebook Live for your business.
[0:15] Ian works with new salespeople that work for small to medium size companies.
[2:00] Find Your Blueprint – Ian’s blueprint for success is to know specifically who you want to help, be consistent, and exceed the value that your ideal customer expects
[5:32] Ian has faced the barrier of not knowing who he wanted to be in business and a lack of experience.
[6:34] Remove Your Barriers – Ian found that by not undervaluing the 6-years of experience he has, being open with customers, and working hard to develop and learn he overcame this barrier.
[7:03] Another barrier Ian faced is the “Imposter Syndrome” and he found himself asking “who am I to tell these people what they should do?” To overcome this barrier, he focused on the quote, “you have to believe it to become it” and this helped him have confidence.
[9:16] Fully Express Your Greatness – Ian landed a new client and it reinforced his belief that he can be successful. He pulled over and had a party in the car.
[12:46] Teaching Moment – Facebook Live is huge. Make sure that you pick a day and time and do a weekly live video to build anticipation for your video. Start with 5 ideas or problems that you can solve on a live video each week. Next, you can repurpose the content into a video you can share later, write a blog article about, and post on Instagram.
