Episode 1: It is my pleasure to welcome you to The Heavy-Duty Parts Report. In this episode, I am going to answer some of the questions you may have about what you can expect when you listen to The Heavy-Duty Parts Report.
What is The Heavy-Duty Parts Report all about?
The Heavy-Duty Parts Report is an industry leading podcast where my guests and I will provide industry news and expert advice about the heavy-duty parts you need to keep your trucks and trailers rolling, lower your cost-per-mile, and keep you informed about what’s happening in the industry.
Who is The Heavy-Duty Parts Report for?
This podcast is designed for fleet and repair shop owners, parts people, and heavy-duty mechanics.
If you buy heavy-duty parts this podcast is for you.
What can you expect from the podcast?
The podcast has three main components.
I’m looking forward to interviewing the manufacturers of the parts you buy. I’m also going to talk to business thought-leaders and industry subject matter experts.
These interviews will help you to make informed decisions that will help you to be more successful in business.
- Which LED headlights should you buy?
- Which brakes are the best for your application?
- What collision avoidance system options should you use?
- Does it matter what material the bushings you buy are made from?
- What filters should I use?
- Does it matter what oil I run, aren’t they all the same?
These are the kinds of questions we will tackle and much more.
As things progress, I am hoping to be able to attend industry trade shows and events and report back to you what is happening in our industry and help you to understand how changes in the industry and especially changes in technology will affect you.
When can you expect to hear the podcast and where can you listen to the podcast?
The Heavy-Duty Parts Report is a monthly podcast. I am going to air new episodes at least once a month and those monthly episodes will air on the 1st day of each month but I will also air additional episodes throughout the month from time to time.
Podcast experts recommend that new podcasts air 3 episodes on the first day the podcast launches. I’ve prepared three introductory episodes that are live now. Episode 4 will be available on the 1st day of next month.
The home of the podcast is at HeavyDutyPartsReport.com where you can subscribe to using your favorite podcast players which may include Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Alexa which is accessed through TuneIn Radio.
Just a note, if you are listening to the podcast within the first two or three weeks of it going live the availability on some podcast players may still be pending as there is this weird “chicken and egg” situation when launching new podcasts where you need to go live with an episode before you can apply to be on the podcast players. My experience is that all podcast players should be up and running within a few days to a couple of weeks of the launch date of the show.
How can you support The Heavy-Duty Parts Report?
The four most important ways you can give support is to share, subscribe, rate and review the podcast.
Word of mouth is like oxygen for me, I need it to thrive. Also, the more people that subscribe, rate, and review the podcast with 5-stars the better.
Now you have learned all about The Heavy-Duty Parts Report but what about the host of the podcast?
Next Episode: Next episode I am going to share my story.
